Access to water in Kenya

Increasing variation in Kenya’s climate is evident. These set of four BMZ-funded projects aimed to promote a resilient approach to water and farm management in South-eastern Kenya. ENV conducted the ex-post evaluation of the four projects.

Forest restoration in Colombia

Around 2 million people depend on the freshwater supplied by this Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia. Since 2015, our experts have been visiting the region to assess the needs of rural communities, design development strategies, and promote sustainable forest management.

Honey export strategy for Mozambique

The BMZ commissioned the GIZ to design a project to improve the framework conditions in the private and financial sectors in Mozambique. Our experts provided the honey value chain assessment and designed the export strategy to regional and international markets.

Youth unemployment is a huge challenge for Latin America. This EU-funded project is providing professional training and promoting youth employment in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. Our expert Marta Sachy conducted the evaluation of the TCHAU Project

Resilience building and empowerment in Kenya

The REBUILD project is building community resilience to climate change in ASALs of Kenya with funding from the EU. Our experts have designed the MEAL framework of the project and will provide external evaluations from the beginning to project end.

Crop and livestock value chains in Somalia

The FSFSS Project is an IFAD-led intervention to strengthen crop and livestock value chains in drought-prone Somalia and Yemen. Our experts assist the project with the capitalization of knowledge and documentation of best practices in Puntland, Somalia.

Beekeeping value chain assessment in Mozambique

The Farming the Future project is introducing sustainable agriculture and processing to pastoralists communities in ASALs of Kenya with funding from AICS. Our experts will external evaluations from the beginning to the project end.

Sesame value chain in Mozambique

The SOMiCa Project tackles the development of the agricultural sector in Caia District, Mozambique. The project was awarded one funding by the AICS and the EU in 2016. Our experts have provided value chain assessments and external evaluation of the project.

Dairy value chain in Kenya

The Maziwa project aims to improve the management and production system of dairy cooperatives in Meru County, Kenya. The Maziwa project was awarded a funding contract by the AICS in 2018. Our experts are providing external monitoring & evaluation of the project.

Organic cotton value chain in Colombia

This project aims to develop a sustainable value chain for organic cotton in Colombia. In 2020, FAO funded the project as part of their Latin American program “Algodón +”. Our experts are providing research and strategy design as project partners.
